Mental Balance

Athletes know they need to work on things like strength, but there are other things that you may not realize are critical to your success

What does mental balance even mean? Here is an example:
The last thing you did, maybe you dropped the ball, you should have caught, or you didn’t swing at a pitch that you knew you should have hit, or you threw a pitch that you didn’t want to and it got rocked. Any one of those things can make you frustrated. It’s okay to be frustrated for a bit, but what matters more for you is to understand why you did it and what you did to get it out of your head. That’s mental balance.

Key Tasks and Techniques:
An important aspect is being able to clear your mind each day to start anew. To improve your score on this factor, here are some key steps you can take to make progress in this area:

One of the hardest things for an individual to do is to control their emotions. Boxing and martial arts helped me tremendously with that. Both teach you that emotions can be manipulated particularly anger. It can not only be manipulated by opponents but by family members and friends as well. Learning an art of self-defense could help you immensely.
Learning martial arts can also teach you how to channel these emotions and use them to your benefit. Emotions aren’t bad it’s how you let them effect you that is.
Taking care of the physical and working on lowering stress and dealing with life issues that cause stress will help you become mentally balanced. You will sleep better, rest and recharge better and will be able to quiet your mind in situations that demand laser like focus.
